OLEO RESINOUS PENETRATING FLOOR FINISH

Description:
Heavy Duty Sealer is a blend of oleo-resinous varnishes, linseed oil and White Spirit. Free flowing and extremely easy to apply, Heavy Duty Sealer prevents the absorption of grease and dirt, whilst offering good protection to the surface. Heavy Duty Sealer prevents the splintering of wood flooring and also has excellent slip retardant properties. Recommended for use on hard and softwood flooring.

Application:
Ensure surface to be recoated is free from old polish, grease or any other contaminant likely to affect the adhesion of the finish. Where evidence of previous solvent wax treatment is present, the floor should be primed with one coat of our Barrier Seal prior to overcoating with Heavy Duty Sealer. Please refer to our data sheet “Recommended Procedure for Preparation and Resealing of Waxed Wooden Floors” for details.

Apply Heavy Duty Sealer evenly using a suitable applicator and synthetic pad. When finishing timber work with the grain of wood if possible finishing at a joint with strokes in one direction. For best results allow Heavy Duty Sealer to dry for six to eight hours. If surface is left longer than stated drying time, i.e. overnight, it will be necessary to abrade the surface using a green floor maintenance pad prior to applying second and subsequent coats.
Allow maximum ventilation at all times to allow finish to harden.

Heavy Duty Sealer should be left for a minimum of 48 hours after final application of finish before light traffic is permitted. The finish will continue to harden for a period of five days. Wet cleaning should not be undertaken during this period.

Maintenance: In areas of non-sporting activity, Heavy Duty Sealer should be protected using ACRYLIC EMULSION. Surface should be swept daily and damp mopped or spray cleaned as and when necessary using a neutral detergent to remove spillages or traffic dirt. Drying Time: 6 – 8 hours at 20°C Room Temperature/50% Relative Humidity

Coverage: 70 – 80 square metres per 5 litre approximately, depending on porosity of surface.
