OLEO RESINOUS PENETRATING FLOOR FINISH

Description:
Regseal is a blend of oleo-resinous varnishes, linseed oil and White Spirit. Free flowing and extremely easy to apply, seals off the floor preventing the absorption of grease and dirt whilst offering good protection to the surface.

Regseal prevents splintering of wood flooring and also has excellent slip-retardant properties. Recommended for use on Granwood, hard and soft wood flooring, particularly very old porous timber and cork floors in need of rejuvenation.

Application:
Ensure surface to be recoated is free from old polish, grease or any other contaminant likely to affect the adhesion of the finish. Where evidence of previous solvent wax treatment is present, the floor should be sealed with one coat of Barrier Seal prior to overcoating with Regseal. Please refer to our data sheet “Recommended Procedure for Preparation and Resealing of Waxed Wooden Floors” for details.

Apply Regseal evenly using a suitable applicator and synthetic pad. When finishing timber work with the grain of wood if possible finishing at a joint with strokes in one direction. For best results allow Regseal to dry for six to eight hours. If surface is left longer than stated drying time, i.e. overnight, it will be necessary to abrade the surface using a green floor maintenance pad prior to applying second and subsequent coats.
Allow maximum ventilation at all times to allow finish to harden.

Regseal should be left for a minimum of 48 hours after final application of finish before light traffic is permitted. The finish will continue to harden for a period of five days. Wet cleaning should not be undertaken during this period.

Maintenance:
In areas of non-sporting activity, Regseal should be protected using our ACRYLIC EMULSION. Surface should be swept daily and damp mopped or spray cleaned as and when necessary using a neutral detergent to remove spillages or traffic dirt.
